Verisity Awarded Patents for Functional Verification Automation
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 2001--Verisity
Ltd. (Nasdaq: VRST), the leader in functional verification automation,
today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark office has awarded
the Company three patents: U.S. Patent number 6,182,258 entitled
``Method and Apparatus for Test Generation During Circuit Design,'' U.S.
Patent number 6,141,630 entitled ``System and Method for Automated
Design Verification,'' and U.S. Patent number 6,219,809 entitled
``System and Method for Applying Flexible Constraints.''
All three patents are broad patents in the area of functional
verification automation. U.S. Patent 6,182,258 covers technology that
automates a functional verification environment using a verification
language, automatic generation of tests and constraint solving. U.S.
Patent 6,141,630 covers technology that automatically generates tests
to stimulate untested areas in a design based on coverage feedback and
U.S. Patent 6,219,809 covers technology for constraint based
pseudo-random stimulus generation, which is fundamental for
simulation-based verification. All of the patents are for key
technology developed by founding members of Verisity Ltd. and SureFire
Verification, which was acquired by Verisity in November 1999.
``We at Verisity have always prided ourselves in having the leading
